Deciding on a car insurance company can be hard: rates vary by location, age, and driving history, and every company's discounts vary. Auto Club (AAA) and Infinity are two of the most popular auto insurance companies, offering competitively priced policies across many states.
In an effort to simplify the comparison process, we have collected average policy rates from Infinity and Auto Club (AAA). These take into consideration a number of rating factors, including credit rating, driving record, and age. Examine these rates and find the perfect policy for you.
If you have very poor credit, Auto Club (AAA) could be preferable to Auto Club (AAA). Typically, Auto Club (AAA) offers better rates than Infinity for drivers with credit scores of lower than 580. Insurance shoppers with exceptional credit — a score of 800 or better — should favor Auto Club (AAA), which typically beats Infinity by $1,067 per year. Check out typical insurance rates by credit tier for Infinity and Auto Club (AAA):
|Credit level||Auto Club (AAA) avg. annual premium||Infinity avg. annual premium|
|Very Poor (300-579)||$6,569||$7,847|
|Very Good (740-799)||$3,004||$4,045|
If you're carrying an at-fault crash, speeding violation, reckless driving citation, or DUI in your rear view mirror, Auto Club (AAA) could be a better choice than Infinity. Every insurance company prices policies differently after a violation, so it's worth comparing quotes to understand which insurance company suits you.
|Violation||Auto Club (AAA) avg. annual premium||Infinity avg. annual premium|
|At-fault accident (damage < $1,000)||$4,078||$5,774|
|At-fault accident (damage > $1,000)||$4,002||$4,487|
Car insurance companies rely on age as an estimator of risk, assigning rates accordingly. An auto insurance policy is usually priciest for young drivers — because of their inexperience — and most affordable for drivers aged 25 or older. Since each insurance company evaluates ages uniquely, it's worth comparing rates and shopping around.
As a general rule, teen drivers should choose Auto Club (AAA) instead of Infinity: Auto Club (AAA) offers average yearly savings of $6,035, compared to Infinity.

Aside from finances, Auto Club (AAA) and Infinity each have pros and cons, including discount programs, customer satisfaction ratings, add-ons, and financial stability. Dive into the data before making your decision.
