The Zebra adds Chief Marketing Officer to C-Suite

Marketing veteran John Wojcik joins Austin-based insurtech amid 2022 growth plans

AUSTIN, Texas - January 10, 2022 - The Zebra, the nation's leading insurance comparison site, today announces the hire of John Wojcik as its new Chief Marketing Officer. With over 20 years of experience in executive-level brand management and marketing, Wojcik will help The Zebra further enhance its trustworthy insurance shopping experience for users.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Wojcik is responsible for building upon The Zebra’s existing marketing team, with a special focus on brand development and strategy as it heads into a year of extreme growth. Wojcik oversees the Brand and Performance Marketing, Marketing Design and Communications teams.

Wojcik brings decades of experience as a leading marketing executive and consultant, steering executive teams on portfolio strategy, brand turnarounds and business growth. Wojcik joins The Zebra after most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Executive Consultant at NorthStar Partners. In his role, Wojcik focused on business growth strategy for consumer product goods and durable goods companies, conducted primary and secondary research to uncover fundamental shopper insights and executed global marketing strategies for various organizations. Before that, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Brown Jordan Inc, a leading designer and manufacturer of furniture, and Vice President and General Manager at Newell Brands, a leading global consumer goods company. Prior to Brown Jordan Inc. and Newell Brands, Wojcik served in senior marketing roles at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson and Helen of Troy. He has worked with major consumer brands, including Nicorette, Tylenol Cold, PUR Water Filtration, Mr. Coffee, Crock Pot, and more.

Wojcik joins fellow C-Suite leaders Jessica Scelzi (Chief Commercial Officer), Martina Hahn (Chief Product Officer) and Meetesh Karia (Chief Technology Officer and Chief Data Officer), all of whom report to Melnick.
