The Zebra Named Best Place to Work in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — June 26, 2015 —  The Austin Business Journal has just named The Zebra to its 2015 list of central Texas’s Best Places to Work. At the Awards luncheon earlier today, the company took 3rd place overall for its size category in addition to winning the coveted Spirit Award. The Best Places to Work award, which is bestowed annually on the best companies in the region, honors those businesses with “the best climate, team atmosphere, benefits and most importantly, engaged employees.” Results are calculated from anonymous employee surveys.

Car insurance comparison engine The Zebra, founded in 2012 and launched nationally in December 2013, takes pride in and fosters a passionate, energetic company culture. In summer 2014, the company hired a culture manager to continuously create the kind of place employees are thrilled to work at. CEO Adam Lyons explains that The Zebra's culture comes from a concerted effort to hire like-minded people who mirror the company's core values.
