Question
Can I drive an insured vehicle if I don't have insurance myself
If I am uninsured, can I drive an insured company car? I have valid driver's license and we spoke to my boss's insurance company. My boss's insurance company stated I "could drive the company car as an occasional driver, as long as it's work related. Is this, in fact true?
Answer
Yes. Using the information you provided, it definitely sounds like you could be considered a covered driver. Even if you had a personal auto policy, it would not extend to a vehicle that is used for commercial purposes, under the policy restrictions. Hope this answers your questions.
