Question
Can I file a personal claim after a car accident if it's my fault?
My husband was driving his car the insurance is in my name a deer ran out he swerved and hit a sign. Insurance said he can't file a personal claim.
Answer
If your husband does not have collision coverage, then he does not have coverage for an at-fault accident. Typically single vehicle accidents (including swerving to avoid a deer) is considered at fault. If you only have liability insurance, that will cover damages that you cause to others. Good luck and if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
