Can I get car insurance if I don't have credit?

I'm currently licensed and need insurance but I don't have any credit built up. Can I still get a policy?

While your credit can impact how much you pay for car insurance, it should not be something that keeps you from actually getting a policy. Your rate is much more likely to be negatively impacted by the fact that it is your first time getting a policy, but after 6 months of maintaining coverage you should qualify for a Prior Insurance discount. Make sure to shop with as many companies as possible to ensure you are getting the best rate. Good luck!
