Question

Can I get my condo covered if I use it for AirBnB?

I will soon have a condo and would like to AirBNB when I am away from home. Will my condo insurance cover it while it's rented?

Your condo insurance may not always cover you if you're allowing homesharing or temporary tenants. Depending on your policy, it may specifically exclude them and may require you to get an endorsement/add-on. I recommend contacting your insurance company to make sure you're not violating the contract by renting out your condo via AirBnB. AirBnB offers its own backup policy to cover the liability of having temporary tenants, but there are some exclusions so it's best to have your own primary insurance coverage. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
