Can I get insurance on a car my girlfriend owns?

I live in Florida and my girlfriend owns the car, but I drive it to work everyday. I’ve already been denied by USAA because I’m not the owner of the car and we don’t live in the same house. Is this the case with all insurance companies?

The vehicle will need to be insured at the address where it stays the majority of the time. Also in Florida, since registered vehicles must be insured by the person who owns them, your girlfriend will probably need to be listed as an additional driver on your policy before a company will offer coverage. If you get quotes considering those 2 things you shouldn’t have a problem finding a policy.
