What can I do if I was hit by another driver and their insurance company cannot reach them for a statement?
I was hit from behind at a stop light, so I filed a claim with the other driver's insurance company. It has been almost a week now, and the company said they can't reach the other driver to get his statement. They also said they can't move forward with the claim until they speak with their customer. What can I do?
Getting a statement from both parties involved in an accident is pretty normal when filing a claim with the at-fault driver's insurance company. Unfortunately this doesn't always happen quickly. To speed up the claim process you can always contact your insurance company to start the repairs on your vehicle. Your company will then work with the other driver's insurance to cover the costs.
