Question
Can an insurance company only cover the vehicle but not the driver?
I was rear-ended by a box truck and the driver admitted fault. The insurance company admits to the truck being covered but not the driver. Can the insurance company deny my claim for payment?
Answer
An insurance company can deny a claim if the guilty party was not in compliance with the rules set by their insurance plan. This does not, however, mean the guilty party is off the hook. They still need to cover your damages. I would seek legal help if the insurance company does not pay to help you navigate this situation. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
