Can a parent be forced to pay car insurance for adult children?
Can a parent be forced to pay car insurance for adult children with drivers licenses in the home, even if the never drive the car? Can an insurance company refuse to exclude? Thanks
Answer
You should be able to exclude your adult children that are not driving the vehicle. However, every car insurance company has their own restrictions. If they will not allow you to exclude a driver, I recommend shopping around with different car insurance providers. You should not be paying for coverage on a driver who doesn't use the vehicle.
If you would like to shop for a new company, we can quote you with several carriers at thezebra.com. You can also give us a call at 833-768-7789. Good luck and if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
