Can I be reimbursed for a rear-end collision damage after 3 years?

In March 2016, I was hit from behind by another vehicle. It was my first accident so I didn't know what to do. The other driver's insurance agent called me and recommended me to send my vehicle to a body shop, but the body shop didn't work on my vehicle for weeks. I end up towing my vehicle to another body shop. I never heard from the agent again nor was I able to contact him. End up paying close to $5,000 due to the damage. Can I still file to get that money back from the other driver's insurance?

Since you filed a claim, you should still be compensated for the damages. I would get in contact with the other party's insurance as soon as possible. If you are unable to get in contact with the insurance company or adjuster, then you will need to seek legal advice. Good luck and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
