Question

Can someone just file a claim against me without my side?

If someone files a claim against me and there is no police report will I be notified that this person filed a claim without my side?

If you were in an accident, you need to report the incident to your insurance company as soon as possible. Most companies require you to notify them of any incident regardless if a claim is filed or not. When the person you hit files the claim, your insurance company should handle everything. Unless you specifically request the details for the claim, you may not be notified of the outcome. Here is more information on what to expect when you file a claim. Good luck and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
