Question

Can I be sued for damages I caused in a rental car?

I rented a car and purchased liability insurance. However, I got into a small accident that scratched another person's car. I hit the other car while backing up in my rental car, which scratched both cars. There were no injuries. Can I be sued by another person's insurance for damages?

Hello and thanks for the question. If you have liability insurance, the other party should be collecting from this. If you are receiving any legal correspondence I would contact the company which provided your insurance and direct this information to them. Thanks and don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
