Question

Am I covered under comprehensive if I tried to move my vehicle away from flood waters and it still sustained water damage?

There was a big flood that came through my area and I tried to save my vehicle from being swept away. I had to drive through high water to get to a safe spot and the engine ended up stalling. Now the car won't start and I'm pretty sure it's because of driving through the high water. Will the comprehensive coverage on my policy still cover my vehicle?

It's very likely that the water damage to your car would be covered. Generally speaking, flood damage is usually considered a covered loss under comprehensive coverage. Your insurance company will make the final decision about covering your vehicle, though, so you would need to contact them to start the claims process.
