Question

My daughter got into an accident with my insurance and now has her own policy, why am I still being charged for it?

I was shopping around for a better rate of insurance and the company I was looking into said I had an at-fault accident. It was my daughter's accident from 3 years ago but she hasn't been on my insurance since the accident. Why am I being charged for this?

It is possible that the accident shows on your record because you were the primary driver on the policy when the accident occurred, or you were the person who initially filed the claim. Either way, it may be possible to dispute the accident since you were not the actual driver involved. I would recommend contacting the insurance company you were with at the time of the claim to see if they are able to make any adjustments, and you should also dispute the accident on your CLUE report. You are allowed one free copy of your CLUE report every year, so I would also recommend ordering a copy to see if there are any other inaccuracies
