DMV shows my license being suspended for 3 months because paperwork was submitted late. My insurance has skyrocketed, how can I correct this?
There were no accidents and no tickets. I was simply late in turning in a medical assessment sheet and because of this, my license was suspended, but shortly after it was reinstated. Insurance companies see the word “suspended” and assume something extremely negative but it’s truly not. How can I get this “suspension” removed?
As far as I know, there is no way to get rid of the license suspension unless there is a legal loophole. You could always consult a lawyer who specializes in driving records to see if something can be done. In the meantime, I recommend finding an insurance company that doesn't rate so heavily against a suspension and that may help you get lower rates.
