I was hit when making a wide left turn with my company’s work vehicle. I received a citation. If the company pays for the ticket, will it affect my personal insurance rate?
Any citations you are issued are a part of your personal driving record. However, unless you are planning to switch companies in the near future, it’s unlikely your personal auto insurance company will find out about it. If you were to switch companies, your new company would run a driving report which would show this citation. However, these reports cost money so if you’re already insured it’s unlikely (but not impossible) they will find out about it.
