Question

What happens when the other driver doesn't have insurance and I only have liablity?

I was in an accident this morning. While driving, I had my blinker on, but the other driver wouldn't let me into the lane. When I moved into the lane, she sped up. Only our mirrors touched, but she said it's over 2000 dollars worth of damage. She is claiming that I am at fault. Another guy pulled up and offered his services as a witness for her but not me. I felt really ganged up on.

Thank you for your question.
I would contact your insurance company. The witness or the other driver cannot determine fault -- only a licensed insurance adjustor can. Your insurance company will work with both parties to determine who is at fault. If the other driver is determined to be at fault, she is responsible for the damages, regardless of her insured status. Best of luck.
