Question

How can I find out what information a previous car insurance company has on me?

I'm not sure if they have actually paid out to third-party fraudulent claim when I was insured with them and was involved in a minor collision. I soon after changed my insurance to a different company, but haven't had any contact with my old insurers soon after the accident.

Sorry to hear about your situation. One suggestion would be to call the old insurer and have them release all claims info to you. Also, you could seek out your CLUE report, which is a record of your claims history. You are allowed one free report each year. It's a good idea to routinely check this report for possible errors that could adversely affect your insurance rates
