Question

How do I handle this claim?

My car was backed into while parked. I’m obviously not at fault. The other driver is willing to pay and they have insurance. What should I do?

From your perspective, it might be easier to handle this through their insurance company. Because, for them, they would be charged with an at-fault accident and subsequently have an increased rate. But your rate shouldn’t be affected because you are not at fault. To start the claims process, you would call their insurance company claim’s department with their insurance information and report the claim.
