Question

How do I insure a vehicle I have in another state?

We live in Florida but my wife has a car back home in Colorado. It is in a storage lot but we use it about 2 months a year. How can we save on insurance for this car?

Since insurance regulations vary by state, there are not a lot of options if you have vehicles in separate states. You would need to have two plans, one for each state. My only advice is to keep the bare minimums you can on the Colorado plan and increase the coverage for the two months out of the year when you use the vehicle.
