Question

How much car insurance coverage do I need and should I get umbrella insurance?

My wife and I each have our own car (2018 or newer). Our credit score is roughly 750, high net worth, both 30 years old. We both have clean driving records, no accidents/tickets. We own our house and both cars are paid in full. How much coverage should we get and would it be prudent to get umbrella insurance?

We generally recommend basing your liability needs on your assets. From the information you've given, I would say that maxing out your liability limits and getting an umbrella policy is probably a wise decision since you own your home and vehicles and have a high net worth. This will help protect you and your assets if anyone brings a lawsuit against you.
