My husband can no longer drive, does he have to be on our policy?

My husband is no longer allowed to drive due a medical problem. The car is in both of our names. Do we still have to carry auto insurance on him?

In Pennsylvania, like most states, require all members of the household above driving age to be added to policy. However, since he is no longer driving, your insurance company may allow you to exclude him from your policy. While he would still be listed on the policy, he would not be insured to drive your vehicle or be a chargeable driver.
