Question

If someone else crashed my car and they were at fault does it affect my rate?

I'm curious if my rates would increase even if I wasn't involved in the accident.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. The good thing is that the driver is covered under your policy, assuming you gave them permission to drive the car. The bad news, however, is that this will definitely impact your rates. You can expect that your insurance company will hike your rates for the next three to five years. The amount depends entirely on your insurance company and the way that their underwriters determine rates.

Good luck. If you have any further questions please ask
