Question

I'm on a shared policy, is it possible that the claims made somehow only show up to my name?

My ex and I split. I pulled my CLUE report and have several claims with me listed as policyholder and/or vehicle operator that I did not make. When we would renew our policy she would always have a way lower premium but I was never told why. Is it possible even though we had a shared policy that the claims only show up linked to me?

Claims departments should be marking the correct driver for a claim but other drivers pop up on reports from time to time. This comes from the way the insurance company generating the quote is reading reports. If this is the case, it is very difficult to dispute with a company you are trying to bind coverage with because they are always going to take their reports over your word.

The best you can do is try to dispute the details of your past claims with LexisNexis (which handles CLUE reports). You can find more info about this here.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
