Why was my license suspended for no insurance if it wasn't my car?

I was driving a car for a friend and I got pulled over I was given a ticket for not having insurance. My license has been suspended I've already been to court and I'm paying off the ticket so why is my license being suspended if the car doesn't belong to me?

If you have your own insurance and can prove it, you might be able to get the suspension dismissed. Every vehicle is required to have insured if it is going to be driven, by law. Unfortunately, because your friend didn't have insurance and you were ticketed, you face the consequences. Your best bet is to prove you have insurance for your vehicle, or get non-owners car insurance in order to get your licence back. Best of luck.
