Question
How much would insurance be for someone who just got their license and is 21 years of age?
I’m just getting my license and I just wanted to know how much it would be for me to get insurance since it would be my first time and the car is fully paid off. I am 21 years of age and I have no idea the status of my credit as of now.
Answer
There are many different factors that go into calculating your rate. According to our State of Insurance report, the national average premium for 21-year-olds in 2018 was $2,461 and in New York, the average premium for drivers between ages 21-29 was $2,227. We can help you look for quotes from dozens of insurers at The Zebra to help you compare and find the best rate. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
