Do I need my parent’s consent to get car insurance?

So I don’t have a car and I just got my license but my parents won’t let me drive their car without is there a way I can get insurance? I just received my license. I don’t have a car but I’m planning on buying one, but in the meantime, I could drive my parents’ car by myself because I don’t have insurance. Is there a way I can get insurance without owning a car and would it pay off any damages I cause to the car if I get into a car crash?

No, since you will be driving your parent’s car, they will need to add you to their policy. There are a few reasons. First, you live in their household and will drive their car regularly. Second, you do not qualify for a non-owners policy because you have regular access to a car. Also, being added to your parent’s policy is the only way to make sure the damage caused to the vehicle is covered. Good luck and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
