Does not having doors on my jeep make my premium increase?
I have a Jeep Wrangler and was thinking about taking the doors off but it got me thinking about my car insurance premium? Would not having doors affect my rate?
That's a hard question to answer, without knowing your company. I haven't experienced a premium changing for Jeeps based on taking the doors off, but that doesn't mean it's out of the realm of possibility. Jeep Wrangler's tend to be on the cheaper side for car insurance - with an average annual premium in 2017 at $1,337 per year. Still, if your rate does change, it might reflect the increased risk your insurance company sees from not having doors - either that risk is to you or the structural integrity of the vehicle.
