Am I obligated to continue insurance payment even the car is totaled?

The accident is 6 states away from us. Was totaled and our agent is aware of it. Paperwork has been filed by the same company of that state. In the meantime am I obligated to continue paying insurance for that particular car?

No, you do not have to keep paying for the insurance on a car that is totaled. As long as you were insured at the time of the accident, you should be fine. Be aware, if you do not have any other vehicles on your policy, canceling that car will cancel the coverage. Otherwise, you should be fine. If you need resources on a totaled vehicle, see here. Good luck and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
