Question

One deductible for two accidents?

Two accidents w/ objects 2 weeks apart. One damaged front bumper, other the back bumper. Can I file 1 claim for both, and pay 1 deductible?

Unfortunately, you would have to file a claim for this damage under two collision claims. Now, most insurance companies will continue to charge you for an at-fault accident (which these would be considered for) for 3 years. In 2017 in Tennessee, an at-fault accident raised premiums an average of 34% per year. Because of this and the fact you’ll be paying for that for three years, I would recommend getting an estimate of the damages first. If the value of the repairs is greater than the premium increase you would receive plus your deductibles, it makes more financial sense to file a claim. Otherwise, you might be paying more for the continual rate increase than you would receive for a claims payout.
