I got into a car accident on the 30th of May without insurance. The accident was my fault, but I got full coverage the next day. I’m thinking of slamming my car into a wall and then calling my insurance company to file a claim. What are my options?
That would be considered insurance fraud. Unfortunately, the fact that you didn’t have an active policy at the time of the accident means that you won’t be able to file an insurance claim. Purchasing a policy after a crash with the intention of filing a claim for that damage is not going to be covered. If you are able to successfully file a claim with your new provider by providing false information about the date of the incident, you could be faced with serious legal consequences.
