Who pays for ticket when you drive someone else’s car

I was driving a friends car and got pulled over and her insurance was 10 days expired. I didn’t know. I unknowingly knew this do I still have to pay ticket?

At the end of the day, the ticket will still need to be paid. It is great that you have insurance, which should’ve covered you in an accident. Though the state wants to make sure the car being driven is insured. Every state has different laws regarding who is responsible to pay the ticket so you will want to check with the state directly. In some cases, the owner of the car will be the one held responsible to pay the ticket. Since the ticket is under your name, you definitely want to follow up with the DMV to make sure the ticket is taken care of. Good luck and if you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
