Is it possible to remove a claim from your record if there was no payout?

I was in a car accident where no one was hurt. I filed a claim then found out shortly later that I no longer had insurance with that company so there was a zero payout. But when I got insurance again with a new company my rates went through the roof because they found the accident on report. Can I get the old company to remove that claim so other company’s don’t see it. I paid out of pocket to fix other person’s car.

Unfortunately it’s fairly black and white. If the accident occurred then it would get put onto your report and there really isn’t any way to remove it other than waiting for it to fall off of your record. That usually takes 3 years from the date of the accident.
