How do I purchase insurance if I own a car but someone else will drive it?

I’ve never had a license and I own a car. I don’t want a license I want someone else to drive my car. How do I get insurance?

You may be able to find a company that will insure you without a license and you would then list the person who will be driving your car on the policy. If you can’t find an insurer that will insure you without a license, then the person who will be driving can get a policy in their name and list you as an excluded driver and additional interest on the policy since you have a financial claim to the car. Note that as an excluded driver, you would not be covered to drive the car at all.

If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
