Question

Do I have the right to tell my insurance company not to pay a liability claim?

I had an auto accident and my insurance company has put me partially at fault. They made a liability decision even though I have independent witnesses that put the other driver at fault. The adjuster refuses to do any investigation. I'm not concerned with having an accident on my record, but I'm frustrated that the other driver admitted fault and my adjuster refuses to do any further investigation.

Unfortunately my best advice would be to hire an attorney if you aren't able to successfully argue your liability in the accident with your adjuster or their supervisor. The decision to pay out liability is up to your insurance company since the funds for the repairs are coming from them.
