Question

If there’s no exchange of information, can I still be liable after an accident?

I was recently in a car accident. However, we both agreed to not call police, there was minimal damage with no injuries, and neither party shared insurance information. Can I still be liable?

Absolutely.

If a claim ends up being filed, the claims department will investigate and want to speak with both you and the person you were in an accident with. The claims department has the ability to determine fault in an accident. Without the insurance info for the other person, it would be very difficult to properly file a claim.
