Is there any way to get car insurance for $200 per year in North Carolina?
I currently have no income and the car has been parked for almost 3 years. My annual fuel budget would be $10 per month at this point in time so I barely drive my car. My record has been clean for more than 30 years, but I can't seem to find rates any lower than $400 per year.
Due to the way car insurance is priced, there's no guarantee of a specific rate. The best way to save money on car insurance, in my opinion, is to shop around with as many companies as possible to ensure you're getting the best rate. If you are currently without insurance then your rate is likely to be inflated until you reach 6 months of continuous coverage; at which point you will be eligible for a prior insurance discount. Since each company weighs factors differently, getting as many quotes as possible is really the only way to find your most affordable option.
