Is there any way to keep a claim off of my friend's record?

My insured friend borrowed my leased car and hit a garage wall when parking it. He has a clear driving record up to this point and I don't want his insurance rate to go up.

You could always claim the accident as if you were driving but I highly recommend that you avoid lying to your insurance company. If you file a claim, they are going to want to know what happened so there won't be any way to avoid involving your friend other than being dishonest. You could avoid a claim altogether and pay for the damage out of your own pocket.
