Do I have to be under my wife's auto policy if I have my own motorcycle insurance?

It seems like I shouldn't have to be listed on her insurance since I only ever drive my motorcycle.

Hello, Put short, yes, you must be listed on your spouse's insurance policy. However, if you never drive her vehicle (and see yourself doing so in the future), it's likely that you can have yourself excluded from her policy. Bear in mind that this would mean you will have no coverage to drive her vehicle at all, even in emergency circumstances. If it's your premium that you're concerned about, you can always let The Zebra help you find a policy with the best New York rates. Hope this helps. Good luck!
