Question

Will carriers see other car insurance policies in my name?

I have an insurance policy in my name without my parent's knowledge for a friend and now I have a car that I need to put insurance in my name.

Will my other policy show up when I apply for a policy for my own car?

It's likely that your car insurance company will see if you have car insurance with another company. Most carriers run reports for discount purposes to see if you are already insured. You may want to consider combining the plan with the new car to get an additional multi-car discount if possible.

Good luck and feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
