Will I still be able to get insurance if I have made three home insurance claims?
I've had to make a number of homeowners claims in recent years. Will this affect my ability to get a new policy?
Previous claims can affect your ability to get homeowners insurance. Particularly, it will affect your rates. You can certainly expect higher premiums with a large claim history. High numbers of claims may also put you at risk of being dropped by your current insurer.
That said, there are options. If you are denied coverage from a number of insurers, you should look into your state's FAIR plan. These plans are government-run and allow what are called high-risk homeowners to get adequate insurance coverage.
