I was in a zip car and got into a not-at-fault accident

My car rental was hit by a hit and run driver while parked. I got the plate he is insured do I still pay an out of pocket deductible? This was a Zipcar. Can they charge me a deductible when the police now have the insurance information?

If you have a police report with the at-fault party information on it, it’s very likely Zipcar will contact them for the damage. However, I would check the insurance information you signed up for to see how you could be charged. Unless you signed the damage waiver fee they offer in advance, you might be liable for the $1,000 damage fee per incident.
