Auto insurance companies use a driver's age to outline risk potential, assigning rates accordingly. Auto insurance is usually priciest for teen drivers — due to their increased odds of being involved in an accident — and most affordable for older drivers. Because every auto insurance company rates age brackets differently, it's worth shopping around and finding the best rate for you.

As a general rule, teen drivers should choose Farmers before Safeco: Farmers offers average yearly savings of $1,247 versus Safeco.

Recent QuestionsShould senior citizens carry collision insurance?
Thanks for the question! Comprehensive and collision are not state-mandated coverages. Though if she is financing the vehicle she would need to carry these coverages for her loan in most cases.
Will PIP pay for my medical bills?
Yes, personal injury protection (PIP) should cover any injuries resulting from an accident regardless of whether or not it was a single-vehicle accident. I would file a claim as soon as possible.
Does Farmers allow exclusions?
While I do not work for Farmers, it has been my experience that they do allow exclusions. Usually, you will need to call your agent or a customer service representation at their call sent and request an exclusion form.
Will my farmers insurance cover my towing off the the NJ turnpike
Although I am not a Farmers insurance agent, my understanding of Farmer's Roadside Assistance program is you can either call their roadside service while your vehicle is inoperable and they will tow you up to $150 or you can be reimbursed for your troubles. However, this is all dependent on having towing and roadside on your policy.
