Say Insurance auto insurance review
Founded in 2016, Say Insurance is a relatively new carrier, offering the standard suite of coverages and discount opportunities. Say Insurance stands out from other carriers by offering policyholders valuable information on their insurance profiles in the form of an insurance score. An insurance score is a number insurance companies use to determine the risk they might take by accepting you as a policyholder. Based on your driving history, vehicle type, location, credit score and claims history, insurance scores explain why your premium is a certain amount. Insurance carriers do not typically provide this information to policyholders; Say Insurance helps customers understand their score and gives guidance on ways to improve it and lower their rate.Â

Is Say Insurance right for you?
Say's primary limiting factor is its geographic availability, as the company only sells insurance policies in six states.
Those drivers in a state serviced by Say may benefit from the company's transparent rating process, which sets the company apart and may win over customers new to solo insurance policies. Say Insurance is in the process of catering to this younger, more tech-savvy audience through its soon-to-be-released mobile app and telematics program.
For first-time insureds with very basic coverage needs, Say Insurance will check many of your boxes. More established insurance customers may find equal or better protection and a larger array of products with another company.Â
