Question

Do I need to unfreeze my credit to get a quote?

I usually keep my credit frozen for security and peace of mind, but I'd like to compare rates and get quotes on insurance. Do I need to unfreeze my credit to get accurate quotes?

You should be able to get preliminary rates with your credit frozen. However, in order to finalize your rates and run all of the reports (credit, claims history, violation history) many carriers will require your credit to be pulled. If this is the case, those carriers may require you to unfreeze your credit.
