Falcon insurance: Ratings and reviews
Falcon Insurance Company is a regional carrier offering auto insurance policies in seven states across the country (AZ, CO, IL, IN, OK, TX, UT). They can provide the state minimum required coverage for each of these locations, and a local independent agent (they work with over 1,200 partner agents) can help you decide on the right fit for your specific needs. Falcon works to make auto insurance attainable for drivers with a less-than-stellar record behind the wheel, so if you're in need of an SR-22, for example, they'll work to get you exactly what you require.

Is Falcon a good insurance company?
The majority of The Zebra's review incorporates how well Falcon scores in terms of customer service. In order to determine that we looked at the following third-party ratings. Keep in mind that Falcon's overall score is impacted by the fact that it lacks ratings from several of our sources.
BBB Customer Reviews: 1.04/5
- Falcon has a 1.04/5 rating from Better Business Bureau customers[1]
Complaint Index: Above average
- The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) receives Above average customer complaints for Falcon[2]
Financial Stability: Not rated
The Zebra Customer Satisfaction Survey
In addition to third-party ratings, we like to incorporate the results from our own consumer survey where we ranked which auto insurance companies are the best based on feedback from real customers. However, we did not collect a sufficient amount of data on Falcon for it to be included.
How much does Falcon insurance cost?
Unfortunately, Falcon's pricing data is not widely available, which is an important part of our review process. If you're interested in a quote from Falcon for auto insurance coverage, be aware that the following factors (and possibly others) will be taken into consideration when any insurer calculates rates:
- Age
- Driving history
- Credit score (in most states)
- Location
- Annual mileage
- Marital status
- Coverage level
We always suggest getting multiple auto insurance quotes to compare and see who offers the best coverage for your specific needs.

Discounts offered
Falcon isn't fully transparent about all of its discount opportunities, but does state it offers the following methods to save:
- Homeowners: If you own your own home, you can get a homeowner discount.
- Multi-car: Insure multiple vehicles under one policy to qualify for this popular discount.
- Paid in full: Save some money by paying for your policy in full rather than monthly payments.

What types of coverage does Falcon offer?
One important component of Falcon's review is the types of coverage options they offer. Although Falcon's website lacks detailed information about coverage options and add-ons, it appears that they can fulfill required state minimums and potentially customize your policy.
They'll be able to offer standard coverage for bodily injury liability, property damage liability and uninsured motorist coverage (if required by the state).
The company holds four main tenets: simplicity, creativity, integrity, and efficiency. Falcon wants to make car insurance attainable for drivers despite their history behind the wheel and can offer the right coverage to meet your needs.
Falcon insurance review: Summary
If you only need auto insurance and live in one of the seven states where policies are written (IL, TX, OK, AZ, CO, UT, IN) then Falcon may be a decent option for coverage. Falcon wants drivers to be able to obtain insurance regardless of their history. If you've got an SR-22, the company may be worth talking to about auto insurance. Keep in mind that if you want to bundle auto insurance with homeowners, condo or renters insurance, it won't be available through Falcon.
If you prefer to work with a company that has an impressive website with all the bells and whistles, this may not be the best choice for you. Falcon does offer an app where you can pay your premiums, view policy information and get ID cards. The app has positive reviews for both Apple and Android users, so if you prefer to have your insurance information at your fingertips you're in luck.
Overall, the auto coverage seems to be sufficient, and although the company lacks ratings compared to other carriers, it could be worth talking with an agent if you live in one of the covered states.
Methodology — how The Zebra reviews insurance companies
The team of insurance experts at The Zebra evaluates companies by focusing on customer experience first, with an emphasis on service quality, reliability, and ease of interaction. Unlike previous models, pricing is not scored but is instead presented separately as context for comparison.
Each category has been scored using a combination of our internal customer satisfaction survey results and published scores from reputable organizations such as AM Best and J.D. Power.
- Service Accessibility & Support Quality (25%): This category measures how easy it is to get help when needed, evaluating factors such as support channel availability (phone, chat, in-person, app), response times, agent knowledge, service hours, and language accessibility.
- Claims Experience (25%): This category assesses how smoothly the claims process works, considering ease of filing (online, app, or phone), transparency and communication, processing times, and fairness in dispute resolution.
- Digital Experience & Policy Management (25%): This category evaluates the convenience of managing your policy: this includes mobile app usability, website experience, account management, digital document access, self-service options, and platform integrations
- Trust & Reliability (25%): This category looks at a company’s overall reliability, measuring financial strength, market stability, regulatory history, communication transparency, and consistency in policy terms.
Price context: Pricing varies significantly based on individual circumstances and risk factors. Customers can evaluate cost-effectiveness based on their specific situation and the service quality scores provided.
