Will having historical plates on my car lower the cost of insurance?

I'm young and trying to find a cheap insurance plan for my car. I need a cheap plan so I can get to work be and still be putting money away.

If you are going to have historical or classic plates you are going to fall into special types of plans. Personal auto plans that most companies offer will not adequately cover what you need. That, or they will charge you more than they should. I highly recommend checking out Hagerty for their services. 

Keep in mind, however, that many classic car policies restrict how often you can drive the covered vehicle. If you require the car for driving to work everyday, make sure that it will be covered by the policy.
