Question

Will I actually save by bundling home and auto with Acuity?

I’m pricing out Acuity for home and auto. Are the bundle savings actually real, or is that just marketing?

With Acuity, bundling does usually save money—most people see around 8–15% off when they combine home and auto. But the bigger benefit isn’t just the discount. It’s the way Acuity coordinates claims if something happens to both your home and car at once—like a hailstorm, garage fire, or tornado. Instead of being bounced between two different companies, you work with the same adjuster team, which makes life a lot easier when things go wrong.

That said, don’t assume bundling is always the cheapest option. In some states, homeowners insurance is priced differently by ZIP code, and sometimes your best deal comes from mixing companies—for example, Acuity for auto + Travelers for home.

Best move: Ask for side-by-side quotes before you decide:

  • Option A: Auto + home bundled with Acuity
  • Option B: Auto with Acuity, home separate
  • Option C: Bundle with a competitor for comparison

This way, you’ll know whether bundling really pays off or just sounds nice. If you want, The Zebra’s agents can shop a variety of companies and bundle options you so you see the actual price difference before committing. We're happy to help if we can!

Is Acuity’s zero-deductible glass thing real, or only on certain cars?

Yes, Acuity does offer full glass coverage as an optional add-on in many states, especially in the Midwest and mountain regions where rock chips and cracks are common. Without it, your windshield repair would fall under your comprehensive deductible, which might be $500 or $1,000—so it’s easy to se…
